hello same thing that happend to me i changed my fuel pump, spark plugs, spark plug wires, crank sensor, disturbutor cap and rotary button and still didn't work and still would not start. and the fuel pump would not kick in,until i changed the disturbutor itself. i changed the whole unit. hope this helps p.s my car works fine now it's a 2.5 cirrus v6 1995
We do not understand "crank" and "turn over" are the same thing.
The first thing I would check is your crankshaft position sensor
I had the same thing on my 2002 caravan sport and I changed the caliper, rotor, and pads and no more clicking.
you crank at 12:30 sharp
fuel sending unit my van did the same thing changed the fuel filter ,pump, rotor.cap, spark plugs clean fuel injecters then changed fuel sending unit and it worked ...
Pull out a spark plug, rest it on a piece of metal under the hood, have someone crank the engine, and see if it sparks. If not, check for a spark at your ignition coil by doing the same thing. If you still have no spark, check your distributer cap and rotor, they may need replaced, or the whole distributer may need replaced. i am a land rover master tech, the first thing to do is make shure you have a good battery.test the fuel pressure and if there is no fuel pressure the fuel pump will take out the crank sensor leavig vehicle with no spark. so if you have good fuel pressure and no spark it sound like your crank sensor is bad.common problem. i hope i was able to help you.
my cars doing the same thing and iv been told its the ht leads that need replaceing, after iv just changed my spark plugs too
I don't know what that problem is but if you find out what the problem is could you email me at odellk@wowway.com and let me know!! I have the same problem with my 1994 3.3l intrepid! I have a 1993 3.3l intrepid that's doing the exact same thing. I've had the crank sensor changed out, the cam sensor changed, checked all fuses and it's still doing it
first thing i'd do is check the cambelt,if that's ok,check the crank sensor if it has one.
1st thing to check is the spark. Remove a spark plug from the engine and plug it to the spark plug boot. Touch the plug to the cylinder head and crack the engine. Should see spark at the tip of the plug. If no spark, 2nd thing I would check is the crank position switch. It is located on the transaxle bell housing.
