If I washed my Pampered Chef ice cream scoop in the dishwasher will it be ruined?

It seems that the liquid in the scoop is made to somehow transfer the heat of your hand throughout the scoop making it warm enough to slide through even hard ice cream with ease. The properties of the liquid are destroyed by too much heat See this website: http://www.newyorkfirst.com/gifts/1011.html. Even rinsing it out under hot water is supposed to damage the liquid. Just rinse it under warm water. Works every time--unless your washing it in the dishwasher has already destroyed it. Several companies sell this type of scoop. Google it.
