I think you are giving him too much credit.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) does not teach that all other religions are the work of Satan. Other religions very rarely come up, and when they do, it's almost always positive.Mormons believe that all good things come of God, and so any religion that does good, even if it's theology may be flawed, is still good. The Book of Mormon says this several times, most notably in Moroni 7:13, which says "that which is of God inviteth and enticeth to do good continually; wherefore, every thing which inviteth and enticeth to do good, and to love God, and to serve him, is inspired of God."Since most religions "invite to do good and love God and serve him", they are all inspired by God. They don't have the whole truth, but they aren't entirely wrong.

Hinduism, Buddhism Islam, Judaism and Christianity all teach good things and to do good acts and also teach the code of conduct. All these religions tell you to behave in a specific manner. All these religions teach in worshiping a creator. These religions teach that there is a power above them who created the whole universe and that life is a test. All these religions teach equality and brotherhood.
most atheists think Christianity is not good and its members are hypocrites
Some Christians believe that Satan actively battles for the souls of humans. If he wins, their souls go to hell. Islam has similar teachings. On the other hand, Jews believe that Satan is the loyal servant of God, whose role it is to test the righteousness of the faithful. So, although in Jewish belief we should not be tempted by Satan, this is not a battle for the soul but merely a test. Most other religions that believe in an afterlife believe that whether we do good or evil depends on free will, so it is fair that we be judged according to our own actions. Atheists believe that we do not have souls, so there can be no battle for the soul.
