If a 16-year-old had a baby with an 18-year-old and they've been living together can they get married without parental consent in the state of Colorado?

Answer

No, Colorado does not recognize pregnancy nor parenthood as a reason for emancipation of a minor. It is possible to petition the court to have the law waived if the circumstances warrant such action. The couple must be able to prove to the court that they are able to live independently and are able to support themselves and the child w/o public or other outside assistance.
