If a carrier files bankruptcy and brokered your loads to outside carriers are you liable to pay the outside carriers when you have already paid the carrier?

Answer:
No...the outside carriers claim is against the one that it contracted with (thats the now BK carrier). You should contact that carrier and the BK Court if you think the outside one isn't performing as the BK Court would want for anyone obligated to a company it is protecting....they may call and read them the riot act!

On the other hand...while it isn't fair or right, depending on many things...the reality of the situation may make it simply easier to pay and be done with it.
