200mg will deffinently put you to sleep , my first psychiatrist mistook me for being bi polar and gave me seroquel for a while and for the first week or two I gradually increased the dosage starting from 100mg for the first four days then moving to two which had me knocked out for the whole week i was taking them I actually stoped bc I wasnt getting used to them and I felt like I was a ****-ing zombie all day. but anyway taking 200mg for the f*** of it isnt going to kill you, you shouldnt be that worried i mean my doctor gave me this s***for a couple of weeks. nothing to worry about though, you just like poping pills :)
since ive stopped taking the seroquel i have ive just been letting my friends pop them as sleeping pills here and there. if you cant get sleep one night just pop a couple of these 300mg and your good. try to stay up past 40 minutes though , thats my friends record.

First off... 200mg IS NOT A HIGH DOSE. In fact it's quite low on the scale of what a target dose of Seroquel is. I would say that you would experience some drowsiness. Your thoughts might be slower, you might have some slurred speech. Mostly just sleepy. Being sick to the stomach. I would suggest if you feel anything other then sleepy, or sick to the stomach I would see about getting to the doctor. 200mg isn't much of a dose but if it wasn't your medication you really need to be sure it's not an allergy for you. I would be more careful, but on the scale of doses... 200mg is VERY VERY VERY LOW, most people take that much or less for a sleeping pill.

ARE YOU KIDDING?? 200mg is the highest dose in a single seroquel pill. I believe the smallest is 25mg and for the average person who doesn't take seroquel, 3-5mg can/will knock you out for the entire night and leave you groggy all the next day. I think you have your facts completely wrong. 200mg is a HIGH dose. If you take that much, I would imagine you'd be fast asleep for at least a full day. Call your doctor.
200mg is not a high dose. People take much larger doses than that. Now for a starting dose it's high. It should be 25 or 50. And they do make a 400 mg time released.
---------------------------------
200mg is a high dose for someone who never takes it. 200mg will probably make you feel like a tree stump and fall asleep, and probably wake up veryyyyyy groggy.
yes, 200mg is not a high dose for SOME people.

some people take as much as over 1,000mg per day.
but for most people, 200mg is a knockout dose.

even 25mg will be a knockout dose for many people.

on a side note, daily use of this compound will lead increased blood sugar levels and pre-diabetes, progressing to full blown diabetes.
it increases appetite by ALOT in many folks, and leads to weight gains of upwards of 50 lbs. increased hunger and thirst are symptoms of high blood sugar as well. the dopamine blocking action interferes with the body's hormones, insulin, and metabolism. in turn this can also lead to elevated prolactin levels, leading to milk being produced in the breasts of non-pregnant women and even in males.
so prepare to be a fat, lethargic, apathetic, dimwitted jabba the hut tree stump if you are planning on using this medicine.

There's a lot of misinformation above. Yes, Seroquel can cause weight gain but not on it's own. For some, it increases hunger. However, a good psychiatrist will have you take your dose in the evening, an hour or so before sleep. If you take Seroquel at this time of day, you should not experience increase in hunger/weight gain.

200mg or lower is, as my psych puts it, a "stingy" or "pediatric" dose. At this dosage, it works best for treating PTSD, borderline pd, panic disorder, and sleep disorders (OFF LABEL). 400mgs and above is the target dose for a schizophrenic or biopolar I treatment.

Lastly, while there is a risk for diabetes with this class of medication, Seroquel consistently rates at the low end of the risk spectrum and there is little risk if you take 300mg or less per day.

I am a female and am now 19; from ages 15-16 I was (stupidly) prescribed a 200mg daily dose of Seroquel. The first time I took this dose I was asleep for the majority of the next three days. I continued with this medication for almost two years, at the end of which my doctor had me trying Seroquel XR. I weighed about 120lbs when I was on this medicine, and it was the worst experience I've had with any medication. I was definitely a zombie during the day, and even unable to breathe through my nose at night due to increased blood flow in my face. I was unable to think in school, I couldn't react to any stimulus, and I can hardly remember that time in my life. I became extremely depressed as a result and found myself planning my death. I was on a 90 day supply of the stuff and used to set out ten pills, knowing this was a sufficient amount to kill me. I would take one and sit looking at them trying to decide if i was going to take the rest, I always passed out before I had the chance. I strongly suggest to anyone who is thinking about taking Seroquel, you never know what any medication is going to do to you. If you are planning on "popping some pills" to get to sleep take melatonin, Seroquel is and can be a very serious drug, leave it for the people who need to be prescribed to it.
