If you were given sole custody of your child by a court of law, then that's what it means "sole custody" and the father has no rights, so you are free to move where you want and when you want. However, depending on your circumstances and if the father is a decent sort of guy, I'd at least let him know where you are moving too because you owe it to your child to keep in contact with their father. If the father has been nothing but a problem, then it's best to move on without a word and keep him out of your life. You can do as you wish right now and no, you don't have to let the courts know or your husband at this point. Marcy
I suggest you get a local attorney where the jurisdiction of the divorce is that has a lot of experience practicing Family Law to see what the local court does in situations like yours. He/she should be able to answer all your question. My experience in OK is that it doesn't matter what the law says, the lower court judges don't follow it anyway. So you need to know what the local judge does.
Nothing. In Kentucky the primary custodian can move the children without the other parent's permission. (at least that was the law in 2000 when I moved out of Kentucky with my kids). My attorney actually told me to because I had been in an abusive marriage and that was the only way for me to really be safe.
Contempt of Court, which is consider a Change of Circumstances as regards a custody change. see link below
shokaz notice
a general notice requesting the employer to improve system of work
Early notice or a written notice can prevent people from helping until a person gives the permission.
Your lawyer has already given you good advice and unless you have joint custody of children then you have every right to travel anywhere you choose. If you just have custody then you can take any children you have with you, but, if it is joint custody then legally you have to have written permission from the ex. If no children; hop on the plane and have a good time.
Talk to a lawyer to avoid making an error that could jeopardize your custody.
A lot of Court terms can easily be googled. In plain language you have a custody case and either the date changed or its just a notice of hearing. Read the entire document for more details. Thank You.
A notice of levy is a notification to a debtor that a creditor has applied to a court for permission to levy the debtors assets. A notice of levy can also come from the Internal Revenue Service if there are any back taxes owed.
