If a transmission problem showed up three days after the insurance company agreed to pay for visible damages why would visible damage repairs have to start before considering the transmission repairs?

if there was no reason to even 'suspect' any tranny problems due to the point of impact and damage they inspected they would begin repairs, once a transmission problem is observed they should diagnosis it and then decide if it were indeed accident related.....
