My opinion Astrology is true . because i believen it and everything that it says will happen most likely it happens . .. . . and if it doesnt your probably lookin at the wrong Astrology site .

Astrology is a philosophy about the alignment of the stars. I think it is important to allow all opinions to remain, even though we may not agree, such as the one below...

You have been had my dear. Astrology is not for real. Just a gimmick.

ANSWER

first there is freedom of choice, you can be who or whatever you chose to be, ie people can change and adapt into things that happen in their life and can infact change as a person due to it.

secondly, related to above, sometimes if you wanted it to be 'rubbish' (knowingly or unknowingly) you may live your life accordingly and change your personality to do so, power of thought, power of will etc

third it isn't ALWAYS reliable, nothing in life is

fourth the person who wrote your chart up was rubbish, (or if you read on your own) maybe you are not reading the right materials ie only read cheap and tacky newspapers, magazines and not expert ones designed to show more in depth and by professionals

fifth i always take these things as a guide to what you COULD be not what you are or should be, as i said things and people can change.

sixth not all of it will be definite, they are guides on what you would be being this star sign at this time, but you wont always be exactly that person

it doesn't mean its all rubbish it just means you are a person with your own likes, dislikes and life and a basis structure may be your as your star sign but you as a person is stronger.

and if you find astrology is still not for you then im sure youll manage fine without it and will have all the answers you need.

Also, astrology is not the same thing as horoscopes. According to astrology, all planetary aspects influence your nature. Horoscopes are very vague and generalized, and only focus on your Sun sign, what it tells you by month. It can get very complicated, but for accuracy, you need location and time of birth, for all aspects and houses. For a much simpler summary, astrology says there are 3 primary factors that influence us. The sun sign, where the sun is at birth, moon sign, what sign the moon is in, which influences emotional tendencies that can counter our sun sign traits or not, and our rising sign, determined by time of birth, the sign that is rising on the horizon. While there are more influences based on planets and houses, this might help you get the most out of understanding it, the 3 biggest factors, which can all be in different signs. If I recall correctly, Sun sign is what we all know, Moon sign is emotional, and Rising sign is how we present ourselves or appear to others. Supposedly, you are supposed to read the sign of your Sun and Moon, as both apply and have a mix of those traits, complimentary or not, and for the Rising sign, there are special separate descriptions for these. Look up ruling planets of the signs, and houses for more depth and explanations, or have a free report generated for you online somewhere for free.

How valid is the science of Astrology?

Validity of anything is determined by the results and consequences of that particular thing to most people. If you have a positive experience with something, then you tend to treat it as valid, and the opposite is true if you have a negative experience. Astrology, according to those who practice it and believe in it, is a combination Art and Science. The making of the horoscope, or the birth chart, is based on scientific and mathematical calculations, which measure the relationship between the planetary elements against their galactic locale. The interpretation of such calculations, and their proper conveyance to the respective individuals, is where the art lies. This art, as in the case with all arts, has to be mastered by people before making such interpretations and predictions. Over the centuries, there have been various arguments, for and against astrology and its validity. There is much documentary evidence available to uphold the validity of astrology and to refute fallacies about it. Even then, there are many who believe in it and also many who dont. Some people may argue that astrology is valid because otherwise how would it have stood the 'test of time' and still have widespread use today. It is still used because, like any other belief, if something can help explain the seemingly unexplainable or give people hope or direction, then many will follow it. But belief in something does not make it true. Astrology is basically a superstition that can be fun but it remains a pseudoscience. Astrology is not a science, as evidenced by the lack of astrology courses offered by colleges and universities. It's a popular form of fortunetelling and, later, character analysis. As such, it's as valid as any other form of contemplation (meditation, Tarot, etc.) and any other form of soothsaying (i.e., not at all). None it is lies. Depends of the culture. Think of all these old "esoteric" sciences of the Orient that were defined as obsolete and "stupid" some years ago are now beginning to be more and more accepted by Occident researchers and the mass in general. Astrology is a science itself, but as there were so many liars who claimed to be doctors in 1900s and before - the Astrology domain is actually overpolluted by so many opportunists, has suffered of bad timing with our social evolution and has open the door so big to different kind of extremist that there is no way to consider this science "Valid" by the modern institutions and governments right now. With the latest discovery in term of cosmic pattern, there is a big chance that Astrology get more serious in some time as this science has driven many past and present authority figures, but a lot of water will pass under the bridges and by the time it happens, it will be named something else to not insult the modern incredules.

Which sentence states a generalization that is valid A Women know many housekeeping skills B Women know many skills in many areas C Women know many childrearing skills?

A valid generalization is: B Women know many skills in many areas. True! Same can be said for men, too. These 2 are not valid generalizations: A Women know many housekeeping skills. Untrue. Many women know few housekeeping skills. Sometimes men know more housekeeping tips than the woman. C Women know many childrearing skills. Untrue. Just because women bear children, it does not make all women childrearing experts.

What is the difference between induction and deduction?

Generally this is how the concept of Induction and Deduction will move * Induction - particular to general. * Deduction - general to particular. However this is actually untrue. Either arguments starting with or ending with a Partcular or generalisation. An argument that is Deductively invalid can be Inductively valid. Eg; Inductivley valid, but Deductively invalid. (Particular) My apple is red Your apple is red (General) All apples are red (General) If something is red, it is a Tomato. Your car is red (Particular) Your car is also a Tomato Obviously untrue statements, however to constitute as Inductively valid one must only display a logical correlation of concepts. Eg; Deductively valid. (General) If you don't have a ticket you can't ride the bus. You don't have a ticket. (Particular)so, you can't ride the bus. ...maybe read the Wikipedia page too! Its hard to define but easy to understand.

Astrology has true or false repeatedly been shown to have no scientific validity?

Astrology has again and again been proven to have no scientific validity. The essential ideas of astrology, such as the faith that celestial our bodies can have an effect on human conduct and persona traits, have been substantially examined with the aid of the scientific community. Numerous scientific research have persistently failed to supply any empirical proof helping the claims made by way of astrology. The function of celestial our bodies at the time of birth, as emphasised in astrology, has no longer been observed to have any enormous correlation with a person's personality, future events, or compatibility with others. Additionally, astrology lacks a scientific mechanism that should give an explanation for how celestial our bodies should exert such have an effect on on human lives. Astrology is typically considered as a pseudoscience, as it does now not adhere to the rigorous strategies and requirements of scientific inquiry. While astrology may also have cultural, historical, or private value for some individuals, its predictions and claims must no longer be viewed as scientifically valid.

If astrology is so valid why don't these astrologer fakes guess your personality right?

Because astrology isn't valid! It is fake and often a scam to get money.Another Answer:It's because the sun sign isn't all there is in Astrology. There's also e.g. moon sign, ascendant, aspects, houses, etc. In fact, all 12 signs affect a person. The sun sign just affects the most (shines through), then ascendant and moon sign.Astrology is too complex for even a skilled astrologer to pin down every person 100% accurately in a short time span. Astrology is based on various influences, which are calculated mathematically for each person. There are fakes out there, and those are the ones that give astrology a bad name. But to say that every astrologer is fake or that astrology itself is totally invalid is like saying that plate tectonics is totally invalid, that psychology is invalid, or that people who study other sciences that can't be proven (such as those who devote themselves to finding evidence of life in other planets, evidence of galaxies, people who theorize evolution, etc) are totally invalid. There are fakes in every profession. There are people out for money everywhere. There are fake politicians, fake doctors, fake entertainers, fake lawyers. But that doesn't mean that any of these subjects are discredited. It is ignorant to presume that astrology itself is fake when one has not studied the subject himself.
