Hair test generally only go back 3 months because they only use the newest 1.5 in. of growth. The actual length of time the test can trace varies from person to person, but a small amount of pot might not show up anyway if it's an occupational test since they normally don't use the strictest cutoff levels. Also, the court can order a test that can trace back farther for parole or custody issues. Basically, there isn't too much to worry about, but nothing's for sure.

∙ 15y agoIn the standard test the hair is taken near the scalp, using the newest 1.5 inches but in some cases the whole length is used. In seven months your hair has probably grown 2-3 inches so you should be fine but there will be traces at the 2-3 inch mark. You probably have nothing to worry about though.
