It could be if its second or subsequent pregnancy and first baby was Rh pos and mum did not have any antenatal care or prophylactic anti-D within 72 hours of delivery.

This is rare though as most women have good care throughout pregnancy and there is a national programme to ensure women are given this injection as/when required.

Yes, it is possible, assuming that the mother's genotype is BO and the father's is AO. In that case, there is a 25% chance that the baby will have the genotype OO, which is necessary for type O blood since it is the recessive allele. The baby could also have the genotypes AB, BO, or AO, each of which is equally likely. These would produce the phenotypes AB, B, and A, respectively.

Of course, if the mother's genotype is BB and/or the father's is AA, this is impossible.

As far as the rhesus factor goes, since the positive trait is dominant, depending on the parents' genotypes, the baby has at least a 75% chance of being Rh positive.

Hope I helped!

If the child inherits the father's positive blood the chances of miscarriage increase. The mother will need to have a shot to reduce the risk.

What blood type can a baby be if the father and mother are both type B positive?

The baby may be any of the following: * B positive * B negative * O positive * O negative

Can a mother with a negative blood and father with o positive blood have b positive blood group baby?

No. For a person to be "O" blood type, they have a phenotype of O, which can only come about if they have a genotype of OO. If both mother and father are O's then they have no B that they can donate to the baby.
