I actually had staph infection that had to be treated intravenously. I almost died, but to my knowledge and my families as long as there is no blood contact all is good. The dr.'s and nurses didn't use masks to enter my room. All they used was gloves as normal for any patient. I was in hospital for several weeks and came home still on iv anitbiotics daily, my children gave me my infusions and they are all fine. So I would say that the chance of spreading it is not a problem as long as there is no blood exposure.. I hope this helps
My answer is a question: why has your doctor provided antibiotics for a viral infection. Antibiotics do not fight viruses. I agree, antibiotics do not affect viruses, so the answer is yes, the virus can be passed on to others. *Many times doctors will prescribe antibiotics to prevent secondary infections. For example, if a child were dx'd with viral pneumonia it is probable antibiotics will be prescribed to prevent a secondary bacterial infections such as bacterial pneumonia.
Many antibiotics are known to be dangerous to your fetus. Some are very safe. Your physician knows about the that very well. Otherwise also you are requested to take antibiotics on the prescription of the qualified doctor only.
This would depend on the "culture-and-sensitivity" report of your condition, and could a cephalosporin (as Rocephin) , or a penicillin-like drug like piperacillin along with an aminoglycoside like tobramycin.
From what my Immunologist told me, Dysgammaglobuinemia is an immune disease that effects your platelets. Your body just does not produce the right ammount of platelets to properly fight off infections. In my case, if i get an infection, I end up in the hospital for IV antibiotics, because prescription antibiotics do not work.. My body just fights off the antibiotics just as its and infection itself. Treatment consist of : long term oral antibiotics and if they dont keep me from getting a respiratory infection, then monthly Gammaglobulin infusions will have to be administered.
# This sort of infection can be seriously detrimental to a kitten's health. It is quite likely that the others will become infected. All three cats need to see a vet who can give them antibiotics.
The germ causing the infection can become resistant ("immune") to the antibiotic, then it will basically make it useless in the fight against that germ.
yes, infection is a common cause. Others can include allergy, trauma, or mass. And yet studies show that antibiotics, steroids, and antihistamines don't hasten resolution of eustachian tube blockage. It resolves on its own within four weeks in more than 90% of cases.

To some people, there is no difference.. both mean dying. To others, the difference is that "passing away" means simply dying and "passing on" refers to going to the afterlife.
