That depends on how the property is titled. For instance judgments for federal and/or state tax can result in liens against almost any property. Forced sale of property depends on how the property is titled and the state statutes where the property is located that pertain to homestead exemption(s).

It depends on who owned the property at the time the debt was created and who signed the contract agreeing to pay the debt.
For example, if two people own a home and have a joint credit card debt the creditor can file a successful judgment lien.
If one person owns a home, has a credit card debt and THEN adds another person to the title, the creditor can file a successful judgment lien. The person who was added to the deed takes their interest subject to the credit card debt.
If a married couple own property and only one had a credit card debt in their name alone, the creditor cannot attach or force the sale of property held by both. The situation may change in the case of joint owners who do not hold the property as a married couple.
