Where is the canister purge valve located on a 1999 infiniti qx4?

The valve is directly atop the engine. It has an electrical connection on one end, and two hoses. It can be best found by finding the port on the intake manifold and tracing the hose the short distance to the valve (maybe 4 inches). The P1444 code that comes from this valve is either caused by a faulty valve or it being blocked by charcoal from the canister. To check the valve - with the engine off, air should not be able to travel through the valve toward the intake (you can blow air backwards through it, but it chatters against the spring). When the engine is running, air should flow freely. In this case the valve works, but there is no vapor flow from the canister. If you pinch the hose going from the valve to the rear of the car and it "crunches," it is full of charcoal. If this is the case, the valve may be blocked by charcoal as well. It can be taken apart and blown out - be careful not to drop the small spring! Nevertheless, the entire vapor line (approximately 20 feet) back to the canister (square looking box under the rear left fender) needs to be blown out. You may find is fantastic that charcoal could be sucked such a great distance by the engine - Go Nissan!! Disconnect the hose at the canister and apply compressed air at one end while holding the other end closed with a finger. Let the pressure build for a few second and then let go! A blast of charcoal will come from the line. It may take several blasts.Put it all back together, and the engine light should go off.

How long do you have to return a vehicle purchase?

You actually do not have a set period of time to return a vehicle purchase. There is no law that requires a dealership to take a vehicle back once purchased unless the vehicle is faulty.

What are the effects of a faulty air flow meter in efi vehicle?

A faulty air flow meter in a electronic fuel injection vehicle will lead to drivability issues. The car will not be able to send prop fuel and air mixtures to the ECU which will lead to issues starting the vehicle as well as maintain a solid idle.
