Im not a Dr. or an expert so I hope you have gone to a DR. by now or will be. Herpes causes the penis to have open wounds which would mean the layers of skin would be gone in the areas where there are open wounds (herpes), but its also very painful I think you would know if you had that. You may have a more simple STD one that is curable...check it out though...most likely thats all it is.

It sounds more like a skin condition and not any std I know of. Herpes causes open, wet sores. It may be an allergy or irritation from soap, detergent, etc. Go see a doctor if it doesn't clear up.
