Well, your chances are kinda slim. More than likely youre going to go into labor within the next week and a half, maybe 2. Youre around delivery time, and it sounds like that baby's ready to come out. But it also depends on how fast you're dilating.
This means your cervix is open 1 cm (you need to dilate to 10 cms to birth the baby). Your cervix is 80% effaced which means it is getting very thin -- you need to be 100% effaced. -1 refers to where baby is in relation to the coccyx (tailbone or "spines"). There are "stations" for baby's position. To give birth, you need to be 10cms dilated, 100% effaced and baby needs to be at at least +2 station.
It just depends on the person. There are so many factors to consider when estimating birthing times. Sorry.
*80% effaced and -2cm station.
Could be hours to days to weeks. Everyone is different. You will probably start active labor within 24 hours. There is no stopping labor at this point.
The doctor wont do that unless the cervix and body is ready. I know it's uncomfortable but if they do it when the body is not ready, the labor can be harder and longer and that is not something you want.
Is 4 cm considered active labor ?
Especially if this is your first pregnancy, your body could take an unpredictable amount of time to get ready for labor. Generally, loss of the mucus plug means labor will start soon, but it could still be several days or more. It is not uncommon for a woman to be 2cm dilated for at least a few weeks at the end of pregnancy.
you have to go from 0 station all the way to 10 centimeters 2 persent or 1 percent effaced
By the time you have read this I bet you have delivered your baby, you probably had it within 2 hours of writing the question. --------------- I am 40 weeks, 5 cm dilated and 75% effaced - have been since last Friday (it's now Monday). I say that your baby will come when he/she is good and ready, and not a moment earlier. I know it can be frustrating, but your child knows when he is supposed to great the world. If your doctor thinks that anything is wrong, they will likely induce you between 41-42 weeks. I recomend you try to just have your water broken first, and if that doesn't get things moving go on to pitocin or some such Intravenous (IV) inducer. Good luck my dear!

Depends.. If this is not your first child. My doctor told me you would be already a Centimeter Dilated, bur if this is your first they would most likely have you come in to be monitored to make sure your labor do not convert to active labor because the baby is still premature.. If the cervix tend to dilate more, they will hospitalize you and to give you medicine to stop contracting.... They will try to hold the baby for at least 7 or 8 more weeks.. If there is an infection or internal issues and with the pregnancy, they will induce the labor
I believe by now we are all aware that (sadly) Ms. Megan is NOT pregnant. C
