The relationship would be between you and him--and the other people have no say. This doesn't really work like shopping. Sounds like he may have no current interest and so you have to wait and hope to run into him at some event or activity. Perhaps a group activity or double date could be arranged, but even then it is not a Sure Thing and you should avoid putting pressure on yourself or him to make it so.
