If the minor child is in an unsuitable environment which constitutes abuse, neglect or endangerment, DFS (social services) should be notified at once. A family member such as a grandmother can be appt. as guardian or protector until an investigation and if warranted a court hearing is completed. However, when someone is appt. legal guardian they cannot simply sign over guardian rights to another person, that would require another guardian petition filed in family (juvenile) court. If the minor believes they are in imminent danger they should contact the local police or 911 for immediate assistance.
If married, he doesn't have to.
No, I've been through this. She is not the mother. you are! as long as you didnt sign over custody, you and your baby should be fine
that she was acting funny and she was lieing about the things that she did but she didnt
I was told he lived with his Grandmother. Why didnt either one of his parents have custody of him if this is true?
If paternity has been established the biological mother or person who has legal custody of the minor child can petition the court for child support from the father. The matter of not signing the birth certificate is irrelevant.
