If you are pregnant when you get your Depo shot are you likely to miscarry?

Answer:
No. Depo-Provera will not harm or end an existing pregnancy, and will not increase the risk of miscarriage. (The risk of miscarriage is high overall; 15% of confirmed pregnancies end in miscarriage [Contraceptive Technology, 18th ed]) . The biggest danger in getting the Depo Provera injection while already pregnant is delayed diagnosis of pregnancy. If you are at risk of pregnancy when you get your injection, take a pregnancy test no sooner than ten days after unprotected sex. If you are pregnant, you can still continue or terminate the pregnancy.
