If you are under water are you wet?

Answer:
yes you would be wet your in water

no! when you are under water you are not wet. I believe this because when you go under water you are surrounded by water, water doesn't stick to you when you are under water. Also there is no air under water and to dry you need air and what is air. Air is water! Yes the drying process begins once you get out of the water, but note the drying process begins once you get out of the water ,not while your in the water. Water doesn't have air in it.

To the above answer...water does have air in it.....its H2O (2 parts hydrogen 1 part OXYGEN which is air..) to answer the question, it is a matter of opinion, i have not wondered this question until recently and have done a bit of research, if you look at it from a scientific perspective, yes, you are wet when in water, if you look at it with no scientific facts, it would make scene that you wouldn't be wet under water. In my opinion, you are wet underwater and the reasons given in some answers as to why you are not are very illogical, the only logical explanation as to why not is that you are surrounded by water when you are submerged in it and when you come out, some particles stick to you, but again that is not looking at it scientifically. This is one of life's tougher questions that may or may not be answered, you can answer it based on logic but you can never be certain.

i think when your under water there are skin cells that catch the 1 oxygen particle and make an aurora of air around you but not to your lungs
