Yes, you should, providing you're feeding the TV a digital signal. If not, you'll see standard definition programming instead.
Since we're in a transition from analog to digital TV, most sets contain tuners and inputs capable of handling both digital and analog signal inputs. and that for instance, may be why you'll have to set up your TV's tuner section twice. Once to search for the remaining analog channels and then again, for the digital channels. Of course once you've done that, you shouldn't have to change the TV's operating mode every time you want to go from an analog to digital channel when viewing. The TV should be able to determine the difference and just display the channel you've selected.
For awhile, it's all going to be a bit of a mess during this transitional period, and TV manufacturers are throwing in the kitchen sink too, when it comes to extra inputs and features. Personally, I'm a fan of digital television, but I'm not all that hot on the quality of the products being put out and the life expectancy of the new TV's. Do your research before you buy a new TV.
