please understand the reasons why you SHOULDN'T drink during pregnancy, FIRST.
your newborn could suffer from permanent mental retardation, a lowered IQ level, or may have to live with the consequences of intra uterine growth restriction which include short stature, lowered mental status.
please do not give your baby brandy. babies have immature livers and they cannot handle alcohol metabolism. moreover, alcohol can inhibit protective reflexes like coughing. so your baby could choke on his or her respiratory secretions. giving a larger dose of brandy will increase this risk so please please do not do such a thing.
