Answer

Rest in a dark, quiet room and try to relax. Rub your temples with mild pressure. It shouldn't be uncomfortable to do so. If it is, put less pressure or stop rubbing.

Answer

You can wet a wash cloth or rag in very hot water and place it at the back of the neck, I've heard that this works. I have headaches too, but mine are so extreme that I have to take medicine. The above remedy has worked for my mom for years.

Answer

You should drink water. You may have gotten the headache from not drinking enough water. Also lay down and put a warm washcloth on your eyes in a dark, quiet room.

Answer

Eat something--a lot of times low blood sugar contributes to headaches. Drink lots of water, take a nap. A warm or cool cloth over the aching areas always feels good.

Answer

I get severe headaches, migraines. Excedrin migraine works great for me, but along with it, using an ice pack for no more than 20 minutes to that back of your neck usually helps a lot. it helps control blood flow to the head, which reduces pain. close your eyes and breathe deeply while using the ice, and increase your intake of water, if you are not drinking enough...

Answer

There is a lot you can do. Actually headaches are most often hidden migraine attacks. What works for migraine, most often also works for headaches. Here is a good site about migraine:

Rest in a dark quiet room that has a fan and place a warm wash cloth on wherever it hurts then try to rest and even rub your temples and try to sleep if possible, it works I've done it for years!

Answer

You can try cutting a lime in half and rubbing it on your forehead. You can also go to the drug store and buy "Pain Be Gone" and if you don't see the one for headaches ask your pharmacist.

A migraine headache can cause some people that suffer from it to be in such misery they will vomit and can't eat. This would be enough to go into the ER and receive a shot for relief (my mother use to get these types of migraines.) Migraines can interfere with the quality of a persons life. Doctors know that it's the veins in the back of the neck that narrow so blood flow causes pressure. My mother used Chiropractic measures to get rid of hers. The above posters are right in saying to shut-out light and stay in a dark room. Try to stay away from noise and put a cool cloth on your forehead. You can also go to your doctor and take medications that will help with this. Be sure to ask your doctor if there is Codeine (probably is) in the prescribed medication and if so get Gravol and take first before taking the medication (discuss this with your doctor.) Try your best to get as much stress out of your life as possible as this can cause migraines. Take up Yoga as it relaxes you and take time out for yourself at least one hour each day or more if you can.

Cluster headaches are annoying headaches and enough to keep you on your toes with the on-going pain (not as bad as Migraine sufferers) but, they can also interfere with your life. Cluster headaches are more than one headache where the sufferer doesn't know where one begins and ends and another one starts up. There is also help from your doctor for this as well.

Try the lime on the forehead or "Pain Be Gone" (all natural) first and if this doesn't work then please see your doctor and discuss the best course of action.

Answer

Ibuprofen, or just take regular Tylenol. It should help. If not try a damp, warm cloth and place it on your forehead, and try to sleep.

Answer

I rub my eyes for a while, while laying down in a dark room, like my bedroom.

Answer

I'm mildly surprised I've not yet seen this response, but I've found that walking generally helps. I've frequently gotten headaches, from mild to crippling, sometimes daily for periods of time, and it's rare that they'll persist after having a bit of water, walking for about 10-60 minutes, and perhaps a bit of food. The only issue I have with this solution is that if temperatures outside are too high, it can worsen the matter, and simply getting up and moving is difficult.
I have an aversion to pills, and am rather sensitive to heat and airflow around my head, so lying down generally doesn't work for me - staying in one position against the heat-absorbant cushions will often eventually raise my temperature to the point that the headache is worsened, and obviously a fan isn't very much a solution, in my case.

well, when i get my headaches, i always have serious ones that make me throw up, but yours are probably minor

What I do is I put "Head On" on my whole forehead
