If you have to stop short on the highway and the person behind you rear ends you who is at fault? |
Answer
The other person is at fault. The law looks at this in the following way: they should have given themselves enough room behind you for them to be able to stop. If you were able to stop so quickly then they should have also been able to stop quickly; you must drive with adequate space.
