Sure....the worst she could say is No...but at least you'll know.

Who knows...maybe she'll say yes!

Invite her to have ..coffee..tea...or ice cream or something.....girls like that. . . .if she goes without question, you'll know even without asking (that she likes you)...but if she asks why, just say "thought it would be nice to be around someone that's nice to talk to" (seeing that she's shy...)
