[Edit]

Answer

You have to do what is right for you, but be sure you are making the right choice. And give the reccomended two weeks notice or whatever that companies policy is. It's not exactly proper to quit after three weeks, but if you feel it isn't the right job for you, do what you need to do. Just be sure you have another job lined up before you quit or you may be unemployed and really wanting to work for the company that you just quit for.

Answer

NEVER Never never stay at a job you don't like. If you stay for just the money or to please somebody else you are going to enjoy a long and miserable life of tedium. However, proceed with a plan, as the previous poster mentioned.

You might consider looking for an new job while you are still employed at the wrong job. It is often times easier to find a job when you already have a job. Don't leave this employer in the lurch. Finish out the assigned schedule or wrap up projects that you have been working on. Your new employer will wait. They see your willingness to compelte these activities as a sign of integrity and responsibility. They will appreciate you more for what you have done for the other employer.

Answer
