Answer

make a list of what you feel your deepest problems are. Make another list of what if any spiritual beliefs you have. Each support groups have guidlines that they beleive in match up your list with what they have on offer. If your ideas dont fit into the mainstream maybe look at a group that is more alternative based.I would start with the most prominent issue and even if you find the support group you choose is not just right for you take courage to try another. As they say you have to go to a bad restaurant to know you dont want to go again. Maybe you have to give a few support groupsn a try till you find the one that speaks your language. Trust in your gut feeling!

Answer

A simple straightforward answer is : Support groups don't "figure out" your problems. You need to see a professional, get diagnosed with a problem, then find the appropriate support group (usually can be recomended by the professional). Support groups can be very helpful, but you need to know what the problem is FIRST. GOOD LUCK.
