I think only the military member can collect his unemployment benefits. However, if you guys have consolidated incomes then it may be possible for you to do it. Another option, if you need some extra $$, would be to have your spouse apply for a super-low-rate military loan. Lots of companies, such as militaryloans.com, give out plenty of these so you shouldn't have a problem finding any.
I'd say Yes, see this link, discusses Tennessee but if you read the advice, and check the table referred too, Florida & Tennessee have the same rules. Florida Unemployment site leads you to same webpage.

Hello
To my knowledge it depends what you declare as your home of residence, many states such as California require that you declare CA as your home of residence 10 days after arrival. Being military may wave that though, because you move around so much declaring and filing taxes through Florida may be ok for you to continue to cash in on their unemployment.
Yes you can file
Absolutely. It is called your "Retirement Pension". You cannot collect "unemployment insurance" monies if you are retired.
No, your pension income is for supporting you and your family.
YOu cannot receive unemployment if you return to work.
no
Yes, if you qualify for both.
yes
Apparently, if your pension is greater than the weekly unemployment benefit, you could not collect. However, it seems if your pension or other income is less than the benefit there would be a reduction to reflect the difference. See the Related Link below for more details.
Because you lost your job through no fault of your own, there should be no problem qualifying for the benefits. The pension issue would be addressed by the state and might possibly make some adjustments.
How do you collect RCA pension
If your teacher's retirement is classified as a pension, you need to contact your unemployment office for clarification. Certain pensions may reduce the amount of unemployment benefits a person receives.
I worked for 30 years and retired at 60 - started collecting my pension but went back to work in another job for 3 months and then got laid off. Am I able to collect unemployment and does it comefrom the 30 year job or the 3 month job.
