A routine drug screen does not test for prescription medications, although benzodiazepines, barbiturates, and opioids will show up on the drug screen. Celexa may show up on an extended toxicology panel, however.

Testing for SSRIs? IMA ON A FAILBOAT

Might as well make sure they don't test you for illicit ibuprofen use. OR EVEN WORSE. ASPIRIN. Dear god, hopefully you don't get caught dropping all them lexapros.

Yes, Celexa does show up in drug tests. I'm currently on probation and also on Celexa. I fail my "Benzo" portion of the drug test every week.

Celexa is an SSRI, not a recreational substance. As such, it will not show up on any urine test unless one is being administered specifically to test for it.

In short: no.

YES! I just recently lost a REALLY good job because of this. It HAD to be the Celexa because I haven't taken anything else in over 8 years.
