Your cervix will usually lower and become more firm shortly after ovulation, but it can stay high and soft for quite some time for some people. If you are pregnant and it has come back down, it will move back up and become soft again. Most likely, yours just has not come down from ovulation. As far as the cramps--it could be early implantation, but it's still a little early for that, or it could be due to hormones. I had the same thing this cycle, from 2-6dpo, and of course 2dpo is way too early for implantation. Happy to help!

if your 5 days past ovulation you shouldnt be starting your period (if your on a normal cycle) for another week and a half. More than likely could be a yeast infection. When your fertile your cervix is usually high soft open and wet maybe you were wrong about ovulation date. Personally my cervix is high and soft up until the day before my period is due. After ovulation you should dry up then around 9 days past ovulation if your pregnant you may experience lotion type mucous. Good luck!

What are the symptoms of ovulation?

Thick cervical fluid discharge that is creamy or feels like eggwhite accompanies ovulation. The cervix becomes soft and open and sits higher in the vagina. Often women experience breast tenderness (softness, not soreness) and heightened sexuality. Mittelschmertz, if you get it and learn to recognize it, is a good tool to determine when ovulation has occurred. Mittelschmertz is pain that some women get when the ovary releases an egg. It is a sharp pain in your lower abdomen (near the hip bone) that is felt only on the left or right side. Not everyone gets it, and those who get it might not always get it so it cannot be used as birth control except as a way to determine that ovulation has already passed.

How do you check your cervical mucus?

After your period you will be dryer and as you get closer to ovulation mucus will gradually increase and it will be sticky and cloudy (creamy). RIGHT before you ovulate mucus will increase even more and it will become clear and very slippery, (like egg white) and stretchy. Ovulation will occur at about this time. After ovulation it will become sticky and cloudy again, and mucus will decrease.

If i am pregnant and have a white creamy discharge that has a foul odor is that normal This dicharge is also heavy. My paps have all came back negative but is there something they could be missing?

A pap smear looks for cancer of the cervix, not vaginitis. If you have a creamy white foul-smelling discharge, you need to report the complaint to your health care provider to see if a visit is needed. Bacterial vaginosis, a non-contagious imbalance in the vagina, can cause some complications during pregnancy. This condition is the most common cause of creamy white, foul-smelling discharge.
