If your daughter who is going to be staying with you for several months will be driving your car do you have to add her to your insurance policy?

Answer

This would definitely be a good question for your carrier and/or agent. Since it's such a short time, and you basically know when she'll be moving out, you probably don't need to. On the other hand, your carrier may be fairly "strict" about that sort of thing.

It might also depend on how often you plan on letting her drive your car. If, for instance, she'll use it only on the weekends or to run minor errands to the store, your carrier probably wouldn't care since, again, her stay with you is temporary. But if she's using your car or one of your cars ALL the time, that's an entirely different matter.
