Probably not, but it's a stupid thing to say. He's saying that he doesn't appreciate you and didn't particularly like living with his parents. This isn't the kind of guy with whom you can have any kind of serious relationship.
Make him go to a marriage counselor with you. The two of you need to work out the details of this problem.
