If your vulva has been really swollen and darkened in color for over a year but you have no pain itching or irritation is this normal or do you need to see a gynecologist?

There is probably nothing wrong, but if I were you, I'd go to the doctor anyway. Just to be sure.
I don't agree. Any unusual change to your body must be taken seriously. especially when it's down there. See a good gynae. Vulvas are not meant to be swollen or change in colour.
