While I can't give you any guarantees that you won't go into labor before your wonderful husband returns, being 1cm dilated is not at all unusual for a pregnant woman. This is especially so if it is not your first baby. You can be more than this at 36 weeks and still go over the due date!

Is 37 weeks and 2cm dilated?

The question you have typed, does not mean anything really!

You are 37 weeks and 4 days pregnant and one and a half cm dilated how much longer do you have?

i have been 1 cm for 3 weeks now! I dont think that how dilated you are really matters unless you are in active labor!

Your doctor says your cervixs is 2 centimeters open and 1 centimeter shortened you are almost 36 weeks does that mean ill deliver really soon?

No - not at all. You will begin to dilate around 36 weeks and you can go 6 weeks without dilating any further. Most women are 1-2 cm dilated for the last weeks of their pregnancy. I really don't know why the doctors tell you this - it just means you worry. If you get to 4cm dilated it probably means you will go into labour soon.

If you are 34 weeks and 4cm 80 how long before you have your baby?

If your cervix is really 4cm dilated (not sure what the 80 is) at 34 weeks you should be at the hospital as your baby could be born anytime and at 34 weeks your baby will be pre-term and need extra support.

What else can start contractions at 36 weeks being 3cm dilated?

Will you be put on bed rest if dilated 3 cm at 32 weeks?

AT 3 cm dilated, you can be placed on bed rest. I was placed on bed rest at 32 weeks and 6 days to prevent me from going into preterm labor.

How soon can I go into active labor being 36 weeks and 3 days 2 centimeters dilated and 50 effaced?

There's really no way to tell. You can be slightly dilated for weeks before going into true labor. On the other hand, you might not be dilated at all and then go into labor closer to your due date. It's oddly not a very reliable way of telling when you'll deliver, until you are in active labor.

You are 4cm dilated how soon will the baby be here?

It could be later today it could be 3 weeks from now. Just because you are dilated to something doen'nt mean labor is anytime soon...sorry. I have been dilated to a 3 for 2 weeks now :(

If you are 38 weeks pregnant 1 cm dilated and 90 effaced At your last Dr apt you were 1 cm dilated and 50 effaced how soon should it be before you go into labor?

== == Theoretically, as long as you are past the point where the fetus is viable, active labor can begin any time in any pregnancy, no matter how much you are dilated or effaced. This means you could go into active labor in four minutes, four days, four weeks, etc. There's really no way to tell.

Im dilated to 1cm how long will it be?

depending on the person and the number of pregnancies it could be hours to weeks.

What does it mean if you are pregnant and almost 3 cm dilated?

It means you will probably go into labor soon. I've heard of women being dilated 3cm and not going into labor for weeks. As a reference, you must be dilated to 10cm before the doctors or midwifes will allow you to push.

You are dilated to 5. does this mean it could still be a few weeks?

You should be seeking advice from an expert in this matter.
