Hunny i say if he isn't married, doesn't have a girlfriend go for it. Men are weird when it comes to their feelings, if you feel that he hugs you with care and not just to be nice talk to him the worst that will happen is that he won't feel the same way and if that happens just laugh at him because he's missing out on a great person.

All this is great, but are you both available to be together? That is, are both of you definitely not married or otherwise taken? You may also have issues later with workplace behavior (ie.hugging can be sexual harassment) and still others if one of you is a supervisor of the other. Best to take the affection outside of work if you are considering more than a professional relationship.
