Guardians are the sole responsibility of you just as your parents would be. If you are classed as a "runaway" and won't stay home, then the police can bring you back over and over again only if your guardians call them. I know it can be tough to live in certain situations, but short of true sexual or verbal abuse there are no excuses. Life is about rules so you might as well get use to it now. The streets are not as much fun as you would like to think and you may have a "free ride" for a few months, but sooner or later the city eats you up. If you feel you are mature enough to be out on your own then you are mature enough to sit down and be honest with yourself and ask yourself if it's truly that miserable to live where you are. If there are only a few rules to follow in your guardian's home and they want you to continue with your education consider yourself fortunate. There are many parents out there that don't care what their kids are up too as long as they don't bother them. If your guardians have tried to protect you, asked you to obey some easy rules of the house and get a good education and you still want to leave home, you've proved only one point ... you're not mature!
