In a recent government-conducted survey it was revealed that the average Malaysian reads 2 books a year - why don't Malaysians read more?

[Edit]

Answer

Todays society does not promote reading. Malaysians perhaps do not see the need to read very much. A lot of our thinking nowadays is done for us. Unless people have reason to read they probably cannot be bothered. It is a condition bought on by the globes push to dumb down people so they can be easily led. (Thats what I believe anyway)
