person 1:A control is the normal object in the experiment.
Ex) If you were testing different liquids on plants. The control would be the plant you water with water.
A constant is anything the stays the same during the experiment.
Ex) I'll use the same example, constants would be the amount of liquid, sunlight, soil, the type of container you use.
There are usually more than one constant.
