In the Arabic folk tale for how many nights did Scheherazade narrate stories? |
[Edit] |
Answer:
1,000
Think about that - She made up a thousand tales to please the Sheik.
Well, not exactly. The normal answer is 1001 nights but actually there is no set number. Over time the amount of nights has been expanded, as how the number of stories told. Stories were spread over a few nights so the Sultan didn't kill her as soon as one was finished the next morning. And they weren't stories always in the usual sense, some were lectures or philopsohy.
