Alan Scott ( a bridge engineer , originally, brains as well as brawn!) was the Golden Age Green Lantern. Theyt are two separate characters, but have cooperated in team-up issues (inthe late sixties) and time travel angles. One can see from occupations the Green Lantern corps has some intellectual as well as Gung-Ho requirements!
