Child support is paid until a child becomes emancipated. In the State of Mississippi, the age of emancipation is twenty-one (21). Also, emancipation may refer to the emancipation that occurs before the child reaches the age of majority. NOTE: The noncustodial parent, not MDHS, shall petition the court for the relief sought.

Yes, until the child reaches the age of majority or otherwise outlined in the original support order. Dropping out of school does not confer emancipation in Mississippi so support must be paid as outlined by the court. Child support is not something you pay so the child will stay in school, it's for their living expenses until they are emancipated by virtue of reaching the age of majority.

Depends on what is stated in the divorce decree issued by the court. So maybe, or maybe not. Obtain a copy of the divorce decree, if you do not understand it consult an attorney.

Would A father with a child over 18 living in Mississippi have to pay child support if she is not in school and she works a job?

Only if there was child support owed from before the child was 18. You are confusing child support with a deceased terminally ill parent's social security benefits given to their children after the death of the parent until the child graduates college. Child support only gets paid up unitl 18 years of age, unless there is money past due.
