In the play romeo and Juliet whos says amen amen but come what sorrow canit cannot countervail the exchange of joy that one short mintue gives me in her sight?
The Greek Old Testament would translate it as "so be it". Literally it means 'fixed' or 'sure'. I use it myself as a closing to my own prayers as a means of showing respect and thanks.
Some critics say it is not a typical Shakespeare tragedy like the Hamlet,……………….. while others say that it carrys timeless themes of sacrifice of love..

Hope this helps LOL.
