There is no physical description of Jesus Christ. However, it depends :-

(i) there is no picture of Jesus when He was on earth as a man:-Although Jesus was God in the flesh He looked just like an ordinary average Jew of his day:-

Isa 53:2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

There is no picture of Him because He was a good law-abiding Jew and there was a Commandment against it. On the other hand, Caesar was worshipped as a god, and when the Roman Legion carried their Standard bearing the image of Caesar into Jerusalem, the Jews then rioted over this because it broke God's 2nd Commandment forbidding the making and worshipping of any image:Exo 20:1-5KJV And God spake all these words, saying, (v.2) I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. (v.3) Thou shalt have no other gods before me. (v.4) Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likenessof any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: (v.5) Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: ......

Lev 26:1 Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God.

Deu 4:16-18 KJV Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a the graven image, similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female, (v.17) The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flieth in the air, (v.18) The likeness of any thing that creepeth on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth:

They were warned that if they did they would be taken into captivity and forced to worship images of foreign gods:-

Deu 4:23-29 GNB Be certain that you do not forget the covenant that the LORD your God made with you. Obey his command not to make yourselves any kind of idol, (v.24) because the LORD your God is like a flaming fire; he tolerates no rivals. (v.25) "Even when you have been in the land a long time and have children and grandchildren, do not sin by making for yourselves an idol in any form at all. This is evil in the LORD's sight, and it will make him angry. (v.26) I call heaven and earth as witnesses against you today that, if you disobey me, you will soon disappear from the land. You will not live very long in the land across the Jordan that you are about to occupy. You will be completely destroyed. (v.27) The LORD willscatter you among other nations, where only a few of you will survive. (v.28) There you will serve gods made by human hands, gods of wood and stone, gods that cannot see or hear, eat or smell. (v.29) There you will look for the LORD your God, and if you search for him with all your heart, you will find him.

Despite this warning, they disobeyed and were taken into captivity by the Babylonians and only about 50,000 returned to Judah. Because the Jews were terrified of being taken into captivity again because of the breaking of God's Law, the Law was made rigorous, detailed, and overly-legalistic to remove any possible chance of it happening again. Because Jesus Christ was a good Jew he therefore obeyed all the Old Testament:-

Mat 5:17-20 MKJV Do not think that I have come to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I have not come to destroy but to fulfill. (v.18) For truly I say to you, Till the heaven and the earth pass away, not one jot or one tittle [ie "the smallest letter or stroke of a letter" :NET Bible] shall in any way pass from the Law until all is fulfilled. (v.19) Therefore whoever shall relax one of these commandments, the least, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of Heaven. But whoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of Heaven. (v.20) For I say to you that unless your righteousness shall exceed that of the scribes and Pharisees, you shall in no case enter into the kingdom of Heaven.

If there had been any pictures of Jesus they would have been destroyed by zealous Jewish Christians like Paul, an ex-Pharisee, to avoid breaking the 2nd Commandment against idolatry as any images would have been worshipped. The only pictures of Jesus are in Byzantine art and mosaics and Medieval art using artistic licence.

(ii) Appearance of Christ crucifiedThe only description of what Jesus Christ looked like at the crucifixion was that He no longer looked like a man, He didn't even look human because He had been beaten to a pulp for you and me:-

Isa 52:14 (KJV) As many were astonied at thee; his visage was so marred more than any man, and his form more than the sons of men:

Isa 52:15 So shall he sprinkle many nations; ...

(Picturing Him as a priest who "sprinkles" (or spiritually cleanses) the nations with His own blood).

Other versions may make this sacrifice clearer:-

Isa 52:14 (CEV) Many were horrified at what happened to him. But everyone who saw him was even more horrified because he suffered until he no longer looked human.

Isa 52:14 (NET) ..... he was so disfigured he no longer looked like a man;

Isa 52:15 his form was so marred he no longer looked human -

(i) Glorified ChristBefore He was crucified, Jesus showed some of the disciples what He really looked like as God: His face was like the sun, clothed in absolutely pure shining white clothes, and surrounded by a brilliant glow of God's 'shekina' glory:-

Mat 17:1-2 KJV And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and bringeth them up into an high mountain apart, (v.2) And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.

Mar 9:2-3 KJV And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them. (v.3) And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them [or as NET Bible translates it:"his clothes became radiantly white, more so than any launderer in the world could bleach them."]

Mar 9:9 And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead.

Luk 9:28-31 KJV And it came to pass about an eight days after these sayings, he took Peter and John and James, and went up into a mountain to pray. (v.29) And as he prayed, the fashion of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.

(v.30) And, behold, there talked with him two men, which were Moses and Elias: (v.31) Who appeared in glory, and spake of his decease which he should accomplish at Jerusalem.

It was a bit like Moses' face reflecting God;s glory: his face shone after meeting with God, but to a lesser brightness than Christ's:-

Exo 34:29-30,33-35 MSG When Moses came down from Mount Sinai carrying the two Tablets of The Testimony, he didn't know that the skin of his face glowed because he had been speaking with GOD. (v.30) Aaron and all the Israelites saw Moses, saw his radiant face, and held back, afraid to get close to him. (v.33) When Moses finished speaking with them, he put a veil over his face, (v.34) but when he went into the presence of GOD to speak with him, he removed the veil until he came out. When he came out and told the Israelites what he had been commanded, (v.35) they would see Moses' face, its skin glowing, and then he would again put the veil on his face until he went back in to speak with GOD.

(i) The returning triumphant Christ as MessiahThe retirning Christ will have flaming eyes and blood-soaked clothes:-

Isa 63:1-4 KJV Who isthis that cometh from Edom, with dyed garments from Bozrah? this that isglorious in his apparel, travelling in the greatness of his strength? I that speak in righteousness, mighty to save. (v.2) Wherefore art thoured in thine apparel, and thy garments like him that treadeth in the winefat? (v.3) I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment. (v.4) For the day of vengeance isin mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.

Rev 19:11-16 KJV And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and He that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He doth judge and make war. (v.12) His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. (v.13) And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. (v.14) And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. (v.15) And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. (v.16) And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

There is no physical description of what Jesus Christ looks like at any stage of His appearances.
