In wow i want to do alerac valley but it says unavailable how do you resolve the problem?

Alterac Valley is a battleground which becomes available from level 50 on - if you haven't reached level 50 yet, this might explain why it is listed as unavailable.
Otherwise, there's a few things to try out:
1) Do you have the deserter debuff from exiting an earlier BG?
2) Try to use the /reload console command to reload your UI and clear errors
3) Try to start up WoW without any addons and see if you get the same error
4) Try entering another BG and see if you get the same error
The most likely cause, sadly, cannot be fixed. It means that there are so many people of your faction in the queue, and so few (none) of the opposing faction, that there is no possible way for a BG to start. At least 10 people need to be on each side for the BG to even start off.
