Not a lot of information on the dumbo octopus is available because it is so elusive. They stand out among octopuses for being pelagic -- that is to say they swim around in the middle of the water instead of crawling about on the sea floor. They also live quite deep in the ocean and this makes them very difficult to find.
They use water to jet propel themselves from danger while contracting and relaxing their tentacles to gain speed and guiding themselves with their fins
Very little is known about the Dumbo Octopus. Unlike other Octopuses the Dumbo Does no have an inc sack.
