...makes me cru to rarly find the cards any more....ok,,,,u start with a mamodo...then usually u wana put the spell book owner after the mamodo (they have to be matching like zatchbell/kiyo takamine,brago/sherry bellmont,kanchome/parco folgore,Tia/megumi ect)and every time u turn a page of ur spell book u get 2 spell points...u cant turn back any pages unles u have a card that sais so (like british gentlemen)...some cards say below ther picture [send to the discard pile] [use during turn(or something like that)] [#MP] and [per player (or something like that)]...they are bonuses a card has...[#MP] means it costs a serntant amount of magic points to use ability...[per player]means u can only use once per battle...[use during turn (or something simler to that sayin)] means u can use how ever, when ever,as many times u like....but once per turn i think...[send to the discard pile]is when u use that ability u have to send it to the discard pile...instead of haveing a deck of cards u have to put them in a specaly custimzed spell book...u put a card on each side of each page...cards with the word INTERMEDIATE it can only be put after the middle of the spell book...and a card with the word SUPERIOR i think....it gose.....past the middle...cards at the end of the book are freebe cards...the don't cost any magic points...thers 5 kinds of cards...MAMODO cards PARTNER cards EVENT cards SPELL cards and MAJESTIC 12 cards...MAMODO cards have the orange frame PARTNER cards have a blue frame and EVENT cards have a green frame and spell cards have a YELLOW frame and a MEJESTIC 12 typ cards have a purple frame...u cant use the same EXACT (like 2 zaker cards with the same picture but a difrent picture is ok) spell cards in the same time...u can only turn the page 3 times a turn....u don't wana turn ur page much cause if u turn the book cover end u loose the game...the number at the bottom left corner is power...if u use a zatch bell (with 3000 power for example) with a +6000 Bao Zakeruga at the end of the book...the total equals 9000 power...if ur apponent doesn't use a defence spell that equles the same or more power total....ther book takes damage....damage is located at the bottom right corner of the spell card...it will say how many pages the oppnet must turn if they receve damage...some spell cards don't give damage...they usually improve ur side...like the card Cheakmate...thease cards canot be defended if ther power say SPECIAL...u must read the ability it alows u to do in order to use it...some will say +0 like Stay Focused!...they usually work...on the top right corner below the MP usage on spell cards and event cards ther is eather an A or a D or both...this shows if u can use it as an ATTACK or a DEFFENCE card...if u use it as a defence card it can counter an attack and give ur damage...some spells can have bonus abbilitys...the majestic 12 cards are just extra cards u can use when ever u see them in the 2 cards u hold...u can use 3 mamodo cards per mat and 3 partner cards...some event cards can remove mamodos cards and some mamodo cards and parter cards can remove themselfs so its ok to add more than 3 of both in ur book so long as u have a plan of discarding ur old 1...u can also use as many event cards as u want...ummmmmm...i guss iv told u every thing....plz if u have ANY QUESTIONS WATSOEVER AT ALL ITS OK OK AND PLZ ASK ME AT MY email kanchome_candy@Yahoo.com ....btw if u bought a starter pack the manuel should tell u everything exept about the majjestic 12 cards

lol you just trade

First of all you start off by having 32 cards in a spell book, when doing that you need a Mamodo in the front page and a Spell card in the last page. You can only play up to three Mamodo and three Book keeper/Partners so pick your three wisely. Also from what I can tell at the bottom of the card it will have Mamodo : (ex.Eshros) which is the name. If I am correct the cards do have spacific Mamodos that use them. So like my Groundgarudo spell can only be cast by Eshros. This also applies to Book keepers/Partners. But as far as the book keepers go you don't need them to cast any spell. Just the appropriate Mamodo.

With that in mind there are 4 card types.

Mamodo: Has a red edge

Spell: Yellowish edge

Event: Green Edge

Book Keeper/Partner: Blue edge

Now here is kind of how the game starts.

Both players play a Mamodo (The one at the beginning of the book)

On your turn you can flip up too 3 pages a turn and with each page flip you gain 2 MP for casting or whatever you wanna do.

If you have the MP to cast a spell or whatever you pay it and cast it but you can only cast what is on that page. You can also play down a Book keeper or a Mamodo. When you attack you show your opponent your book (Rather than taking the card out) Your opponent also can cast a spell to stop your attack, and depending on the spell you can do damage as a attacker (If you are attacking) Or as a defender (Stopping the attack) the card will say though.

The way damage is delt is by flipping the pages and by flipping the pages I mean flipping them forward. Once you are at the end of your book you have that last spell and if you can't beat your opponent with it then you win, but if they do damage to you then you lose.

Now to clear some stuff up you can Look forward one page on your turn before you make an attack. But if you let go of the page then that counts as a flip and you can't flip backwards in your book.

I hear that you also have to have the cards in some order but I don't know about that too much.

This game requires strategy not really like yugioh, magic, or pokemon. Not saying you don't put strategy into making a deck but there aren't tier books because if someone knows how your book is set up it could cost you the game. There isn't much luck in the game and there aren't good draws, just a good player that is 2 steps ahead of his opponent even if it is their first time playing against them. Simply because you and him don't have decks so you have to know if you have good cards 2, 3, or 5 pages ahead.

Sadly the game has died because of insufficient funds sales. And by died I mean they don't host any tournaments in America or some other countries. But it is played underground and stuff. Someone told me that the game still is going in Japan but I don't know really. I kind of thought it was weird that the game died but apparently no one really liked it because it was to confusing and stuff like that. When I play it doesn't seem confusing or hard at all. I hope maybe they will bring the game back for one more chance but I am not holding my breath really.
