The Odyssey begins after the Trojan War when Odysseus sets sail to reach Ithaca -- His native land/home. It takes place in several different areas but mostly around Greece.
It is a VERY long poem thought to be written by Homer about a king named Odysseus after the Trojan war. It is a sequal to the Illiad. Great book! But you must have an appreciation for 500 page poems...
