Is 112 bpm above threshold for a 21-year-old male? |
Answer
It should be 100 bpm. It's not all bad, but you should see your GP and get a stress test done. If you should have any problems with your heart you are young and they should be able to either keep an eye on it, give you meds or suggest something else. It also could be caused from anxiety so take time to figure out what is stressing you out and find ways of narrowing your stress level down. If you smoke, stop! If you drink a little to much, back off! Stay low on caffeine and that includes coffee, tea, chocolate and soda pop.
Don't panic. Just get a stress test done so you can relieve your own mind.
High resting heart rate isn't only caused by stress though, it can also be caused by sleep deprivation and hyperthyroidism.
