There's really no way to tell which manufacturer has the better processors. It all depends on the speed. If you find two processors that are both the same speed, I guarantee that AMD will be 100-150 dollars less but matched quality. Some Intel dual cores are faster than AMD but are much more expensive.

∙ 16y agoAMDs have huge spikes of power but when they freeze are impossible to unlock without restarting the computer. Intel is glichy but will rarly freeze unexpectantly.

∙ 14y agoNo, since MOST Duo CPUs are better than Athlon 64 X2 CPUs because of the specs and designs. Choose AMD for simple stuff, and Intel for Performance-Intensive Applications.
