Is Battery usage for wireless headphones prohibitive?

Answer:
Battery usage for wireless headphones is not prohibitive if you are using an Infrared (IR) headphone. In fact, IR headphone batteries will last quite a long time! I recently purchased a 2005 wireless IR headphone replacement from AudioVideo2go.com along with a set of batteries. The batteries lasted for 3 months - not bad, actually. The reason the batteries last so long is because they use a LED to emit infrared light. As you may know, LED's are very energy efficient.

On the other hand, if your headphone or headset is an RF (Radio frequency) headphone, then it will use much more power and reduce the battery life significantly.
